CANOE TRIPS The Landing will outfit canoe trips for 2-100 people, providing everything you need to enjoy your day close to nature. The Belvidere to Rockford stretch of the beautiful Kishwaukee River has minimal motorboat traffic due to its shallow depth, allowing safe canoeing fun for all ages! Your adventure begins at Larsen's Landing where we will run through basic canoeing techniques and provide you with useful river knowledge to help guide you along your trip. Canoeists will be transported to their chosen launch site: usually Espenscheid Forest Preserve (3-4 hour trip) or Baumann Park (5-6 hour trip) ending back at the Landing. Trip lengths will depend on water levels and the amount of time spent paddling. There are opportunities along the way to pull up on a sandbar to stretch, go for a swim, fish, eat lunch or just to regroup. Once on the river the options are yours! Group trips can be further customized to meet your needs. Catered picnics are offered for groups of 20 or more. Please call for details. |
